The 7th edition of 1000 Balkan Charity Challenge
1000 Balkan is a complex charity challenge format where each participant is an ambassador of a certain charity cause carefully preselected and will exerts enormous efforts to bike over 160 km a day or run 60 km a day for a period of 11 days and pass a total of 1050 km.
The fundraising campaign of 1000 Balkan has already started. Over € 7000 have already been raised. All charity causes support children in various disadvantaged groups.

The founder of the Marathon of the Friendship and the 1000km Balkan Charity Challenge passed away
On March 29th, 2020, one extraordinary man – Stanislav Georgiev, passed away unexpectedly. He is the founder and main organizer of the Marathon of the Friendship in Pleven, and the 1000km Balkan Charity Challenge, founder of “Begach” Sports club, father of four, and a bright example and inspiration for almost everyone who knew him.

Biking is over: 640 km with 4000 m positive altitude difference.
1000 Balkan challengers were welcomed at Unicredit Bulbank by officials of the Romanian embassy in Sofia, Unicredit Bulbank and all 3 Bulgarian 1000 Balkan causes officials - Dechitsa, Jamba and MultiKulti.
